Hi Dave,

It is not possible to make the LAA Standard mod fit every solution out there. 
My advice would be to apply for a prototype mod specifically for your aircraft.
That is what I did for my aircraft as a precursor to requesting the standard
mod.

Is there any accommodation for owners who have previously had an alloy angle 
welded
up and have been operating safely for years?
