Setting my Aileron balance

Hi all.  I was advised to wait until fitting my aileron up to the wing 
before attaching the mass balance weights.  This turned out to be 
really good advice.

My question is on balancing.  I seem to be removing a lot of lead, 
is this normal ?  Any clues on how much to leave for painting and 
filling ?
