To add to john's endorsement, the Dynon will tumble if air data is lost (ici
ng for example) where as the GRT will not due to some very clever and propri
etary coding (and it is not dependent upon GOS either). I'm told also that o
ne can fly a std rate turn all day and the GRT will not error-out and level.
...

Cheers,
Pete

onsider the Grand Rapids Technology range of Mini products - the Mini=93
B, Mini-X and Mini-AP. Grand Rapids is a reliable and very high quality com
pany which has been in the business for many years. For example, they have o
ver 22,000 of their EIS engine instrumentation units in flight. The features
and synthetic vision which can be packed into the Mini units are truly rema
rkable. Jeppesen data bases are available for Europe.

ple, 'Highway in the Sky' (HITS) is particularly useful. At a $1,395 base pr
ice, the Mini-X unit is excellent value and will drive autopilot servos with
basic heading and altitude select, plus GPS tracking. See http://grtavion
ics.com/mini.html If you scroll down, you will find the list of features.

ore expensive. However, when I bought my equipment, the GRT Mini units were n
ot available.

ttitude.
