A retro-fittable audible stall warning system, developed and tested specifically
for the Europa, is now available from the factory. This system incorporates
a small flush mounted tube in the wing leading edge, which is suitable for both
XS and Classic wing types.
The drop in pressure at the leading edge, as a result of increased angle of
attack,
triggers an adjustable switch which activates a cockpit mounted piezo electric
horn (and a lamp if so desired). Complete with a wiring loom suitable for
both forward and rear mounted batteries, the stall warner kit costs 70 (95 USD).
Although straight forward to retro-fit, installation into an 'open' XS wing is
simpler still. Please specify whether you require a retro-fit or new build
version
when ordering.
