The Peltors have an Mic Output adjustment. Too much gain from that might be
causing the problem.
The are two dil switches in the ear cup with the Mic on it
Looking at them
Both left give highest.
Top right, bottom left next lowest
Top left, bottom right lower still
Both right lowest setting.
