Those were my pliers that I did. What happens was that the metal was
hardened and the bend didn't last. Then I found the split ring pliers at
Bass Pro Shot and they are perfect.

Hi All,
Some time ago "somewhere" I saw some photographs where a pair of long nosed
pliers were modified so the ends of the were bent / ground so that the would
go into the holes in side of he pip pin where the ring normally goes. It
seemed to be a neat idea, does this ring a bell with anyone ?
