As long as your earth wiring is robust there will be no problem. However
if you want to cater for the worst case wire the earth to the regulator
earth connection. Any loss of earth wiring elsewhere in the system will
not affect supply to the pump.

Hi all,

I was just looking at the wiring for the Fuel pumps on the 914 and I
came up
with a question.

FP1 is wired off the alternator. Would it make more sense to earth it
direct to the engine (no battery etc in the equation) or would you just
go
to the normal -ve bus bar (or even the battery)?

cheers
