The hinge fairings were the first part of my speed kit to be fitted  and it 
was a relatively easy task ( if you already don't have 'em you can  incorporate

tie downs at the same time).  The finish and general  fittability is much 
better than the wheel and leg fairings and maybe they  can be bought as a 
separate item.

As to shape - well they look o.k. and must improve the disturbance of  
airflow around the obtrusive hinges.  No tests done on performance  increase (or

otherswise) but others may know.
