Opinion only, but based on a lot of experience on other then aircraft
frequencies.
Antenna's do not do magic, whatever complicated they are, or whatever price
somebody pays for a few pieces of bent copper, or whatever fancy name they go
by.
The more complicated they are, the more unexpected behaviour they will expose.
Therefore, save your money, do not buy any of the excellent examples of money
for nothing, and do the factory proposed antenna. Might as well fix a tape on
the bottom of the fuse for NAV, and get the cheapest (Bob Archer?) for your
transponder.
I have seen a few europa's, and they happened to all have the copper
tape trick in the tail. No complaints from the users, everybody met was happy
with them. Now please copper tape owners, back me up a bit eh?
