I have done this and still feel happier with the solid pipe than rubber. I
don't have the smel l of fuel that seems to develop in a year or two with
the rubber stuff.

It is expensive and will add a =A3100 or so to the cost. Correct size is Das
h
-6. 3/8" OD. My pipes are solid to the firewall, the pipe exits the top of
the tunnel into the panel interior about 4" back rises another 1 or 2" to a
bulkhead fitting. Then stainless braided to the pump. No need to struggle
past all the gear, rudder cables etc. What's the point?

Inside the tunnel the pipe from the gascolator / pump is covered with 2
plies of BID. The correct soft tubing is flexible enough to absorb any
stress the structure can take without visible damage to the latter. IMHO of
course. Fittings and tubing from Light Aero in UK or ACSpruce,

Graham
