It seems such a long time since I assembled the thing that I can't
really remember why this should be necessary - it will probably

obvious when I start do do it, but in the meantime any further words

Rolph,
This is just a tip Neville gave me. The bolts are such a precise fit in 
the push rod bearings that on re-assembly through such a small hole 
you have difficulty in re- inserting the bolt. By pre inserting a 
centralising tool (merely a bolt of the same size with a filed or 
ground conical end to the thread) you can re-insert the bolt easily, 
pushing out the centralising tool in the process.
On the other hand, Graham's idea of cutting the hole in the seat 
back would make this task much easier!
