Let me introduce myself. I am Patrick Griffin and am building Europa No.69. And
no I didn't bribe Ivan to get that number. I am currently just about to put the
top on the fuselage, having started the project 2 years ago.
I have had no major problems apart from the dreaded fuel tank but the smaller
tank took care of that.
To all those potential builders who are worried about the discussions aired on
the net I say don't panic- it is not nearly as bad as it sounds. I am a first
time builder and provided you read the manual carefully 10 times the answer is
there to be found. On the occasions I have had to ask the factory for advice or
extra parts I have found the service to be excellent at all times with only 1
minor exception, which Ivan stepped in and sorted out. My thanks especially to
Andy and Roger. As with any project of this nature you must expect the odd
hiccup particularly with a new design. I'd rather have the chore of doing mods
now than an out of date aircraft the day it is completed. - even if I do curse
when I open the post!
Overall I am a very satisfied customer and no I have not been paid to write this
nor do I have any connection with the factory. Let's stop the gripes and give
some praise for truly excellent design. Does anyone out there really think they
could do better?
