We've lately been discussing completed projects and their weights and it
got
me wondering about the surprises. Has anyone done any work on all of
the
various component weights? That is, when you finish a rudder, is
there any
way to know how it compares with G-YURO or G-ELSA or any of the
other kits'
rudders? Seems like it would be easier to deal with at that
stage, with a
little sanding and grinding, rather than waiting until the
whole project is
finished and being surprised an extra pound or stone or
kg or whatever.
