That's the right way to "fix" it.
I pull the tail spring after undoing the bolt to check the slop in the off
times poorly built mount.
If the hole is wonky, drill to 3/8" OD and insert a steel tube with a 3/8 b
y 5/16" ID and Redux in. Assemble, and allow to cure.
