My Europa Classic has a heater which takes exit air from the starboard radiator
to the copilot side. It works to cut the chill in Florida winters-slightly.
The major cabin heat source is, of course, the sun.
We stay north-Vermont and Nova Scotia-until mid-November so we are not strangers
to cool conditions.
We borrowed Christophs heated seat pad and while it worked well, we found it too
large for our seat.
My solution is a heated shirt from the motorcyling world (mine is from Gerbings
and has heated sleeves and collar) which I run through a controller which
controls
pulse width for two garments individually.
In the absence of the below freezing ambient temperatures and 80mph relative
winds
I encountered in my unfaired motorcycling days, a heated vest or bib should
be sufficient beneath your light jacket.
These garments can be found at many bike shops (Harley-Davidson has a line),
from
Gerbings, and Aerostich.com among others.
(Aerostich has a heated vest to which heated sleeves can be added if needed.)
These are all made to roll up tightly and weigh very little.
Neat stuff for about $200 per.
