Jerry, Why not fit the smaller diameter 3 bladed prop, which has worked
extremely well for several of us? Nose wheels are the Achilles heels of
any design of trigear and I would hesitate to do anything to reduce its
strength. Europa trigears seem less prone to breaking their nosewheels
(& thus breaking their props) than some other planes but it certainly
happens. Mark Burton's controller was certainly distinctly superior to
the original Woodcomp one but later versions of the Woodcomp have
largely caught up.

clearance. I am thinking of doing this by inserting a 1/4" shim under the
fixing bolts for the nose gear horizontal pivot block where it attaches to the
fuselage bulkhead. Has anyone done this (or any alternative method), and if so,
do you have any advice?

and I understand that the Woodcomp controllers have a poor reputation.
Alternatively
has anyone used the Airmaster controller with a Woodcomp prop to confirm
whether they are compatible? Thanks.
