Hi! Tony,
I haven't any experience about the device you mention but I had an
overvoltage trip system Called a "Crowbar" system by Bob Nuckolls of
Aeroelectric Systems. It was wired into the Jabiru wireing system I had with
the original engine on G-PTAG.
When I replaced that engine with the 914 I simply wired it in the same way.
For my money (and it was of minimal cost from Bob Nuckols) you would be
better protected from a runaway voltage rather than an under voltage.
Having said that I have never had it trip out yet. But I did find the multi
spade connections burnt to the regulator once. It is imperative that they
are maintained positive connections I've had no further problems but I have
the Schick regulator which replaced the standard issue Ducati. ( I'm
touching wood !)

I am wondering if anyone with a 914 has used a device like this below?
