I think you may have misunderstood me, is the head unit like an attitude
indicator with an artificial horizon display if so, could you fly in
cloud using it?

I've not fitted the navaid wing levelling auto pilot yet. The head unit
was already fitted when I purchased my plane, but when I tried to get a
servo, I ended up buying a complete secondhand system, that's why I have
a spare instrument.
