Re Spats and fitting before each flight. Not impossible but I suspect the
novelty may wear off. It would take almost as long as rigging the aircraft
itself. Fitting spats and flap arm fairings gives about 8 kts on max speed.

of course your rapid answer in metric figures helps-thank you! - also for
the useful hint about the variability.
The trailer was originally built for a Fascination with a (retractable)
U/C-width of only 1,68 m - the guy of the trailer-company said, that U/C
width of up to 2,05 metres should be no problem to adapt. I have to remove
the spades anyway for fixing the aircraft on the trailer. I'm curious if
it's practicable to mount them before each flight - but their abstinence
should not cost more than five knots.
Good to know about such a support in the forum - confirms my decision to buy
a Europa and become part of the "Europa-family".
