Hi Jeff,

I feel not to be a Guru but I am brave enough to answer:

I have two 35 W Xenon lights. RT=C2=B4s taxi light is hidden in the
lower cowl turbo air intake (I have 912S so the intake is not necessary
for my engine). It is ON in the attached photo. RT=C2=B4s landing light
is built-in to the duct above the air cooler=C2=B4s air intake. It is
OFF but visible in the attached photo. Both are very effective and I
have been happy with them all night long. Typical GA landing light 100 W
like in Cessna is a children=C2=B4s torch when compared with these
Xenons. An extra benefit: they does not care off vibration or so and
weight. Today you can find even 500 Watts leds and their size is like a
mail stamp. But a cooling is a huge (power led=C2=B4s cooler is huge!)
problem.

  Europa Guru's,

I am planning to use HID lamps for my taxi and landing lights. Any
considerations, suggestions or pictures to where Europa Builders have
placed them? I think I will be placing mine in the front of my cowl
below the air inlets. I have plenty of room due to the fact that I
stretched my Rotax purposed cowl to fit my Jabiru 3300 installation
(approx. 8" stretch). Any ideas would be greta.

  Cheers and thanks to all,

paint all my flying surfaces.
