Hi folks,

Whilst a full list of events for this year will be published in the next
edition of EF, together with an Events Calendar, I am conscious of the fact that

the season is rapidly approaching and some of you will wish to be making plans.

Accordingly, please find the prelimunary list below.

If any one has any additions, suggestions, or amendments please let me know
without delay so the EF can be brought up to date.

Happy and safe flying. Bryan Allsop.

2006 EVENTS

The Europa Club Seminar- 11/12 March.

This will be held at Frimley. Surrey, UK. It is an event for Fliers and
builders. Contact Dave Bosomworth (address at front of EF).

Day trip to France - 22 April

Destination, Persan Beaumont (LFPA), via Le Touquet. A pleasant day trip to
start the season off. Europa not flying? Hire something and come along anyway!

Spare seat? Let Dave know, he will try to find a builder to fill it!
Assistance available to those new to flight plans, customs and channel hopping.
We will
be meeting up with Jean Martin and his fellow French Europa Pilots.

Endelave, Denmark - 1/2 July.

Fancy a trip to a Scandinavian island? This fly-in is popular with Europa
fliers, for its friendship and warm welcome. The organizer is Gert Dagaard
(OY-GDS). Refer to the website
http/:home19.inet.tele.dk/dalgaard/IndbydelseGB.htm

for details.

Colditz Trip - 19/23 May

This is a repeat visit for the club, following Bob Harrison's successful trip
last year. It is understood that this years' event is already fully
subscribed, buy it may be worth asking Jeremy Davey who is handling the list.

Tour de France - 02/09 June.

Always a very pleasant tour around France enhanced by David's' interest in
good food and French wine. For those who wish to widen their experience of
taking their Europa abroad, and with a general aim of appealing to wives, it is

well worth the effort.

Six Nations Tour - 22/30 June.

A more ambitious trip, but a very pleasant one which will hopefully include
the Alps! Plenty of flying, and great places to see. Those new to this sort of

thing will be very welcome, and will be able to rely on the experience of some

of those who have done this sort of thing before.

Flying For Fun Rally -18/20 Aug.

Time for the AGM on the Saturday, and for meeting friends old and new.

The All American Europa Fly-in. -26 August.

Jim and Heather Butcher are inviting us all to their Europa fly-in at Almena
Airport 12miles SW of Kalamazoo in Michigan. They are planning a barbeque and
plenty of activities on and around the airfield. Too many for me to list here,

but if you require more information please contact them on 269-375-5923, cell
269-599-0122. Overnight accommodation and camping is plentiful locally.
Hopefully they will keep us up to date on the mailing list about this event, and

about the 3 day Michigan Air Tour.

Last of the Summer Wine - 07/10 Sept.

A really pleasant relaxed wander around the west of France, taking advantage
of the weather and the warm September evenings. William is hoping that some of

our Continental friends may wish to join in or meet us en-route for an
evening or so.

Canaries Trip - 17/25 Sept.

This is a new event to round off the flying year. David Joyce has plenty of
ideas in mind, but it is a little early yet to provide much detail. Watch out
in future editions of EF.

Other events worth noting

Our regular one day Fly-ins.

Over recent years we have enjoyed three other week end events for which we
are still waiting dates as we go to press. These are: 1. Nigel Charles's fly-in.

2. Bill Wynne's N. Wales fly-in. 3. Peter Kember and Dave Watts Laddingford
Fly-ins.

North Coates Flying club would like us to visit their Summer Fly-in on 10/11
July. They have promised free landing fees and a welcome at any time. Manned
on Weds under Donna Nook Range control 122.75 a/g, and North Coates Radio
120.15 a/g at the weekend. We will have to organize a DOTH there.

Devon Struts. A series of events have been organized by them to which we are
always welcome. Refer to http:/www.devonstrut.co.uk for full details.

Our very own agent Duncan McFadyean particularly recommends the following
Devon Strut events;

July 16, Lundy. Tel 07774 017704.
July 30, Branscombe Air Show. Tel 01297 680259. "An airshow to die for".
August 27, Roserrow. Tel 01208 863000.

Another Popular Rendezvous. I don't know why, maybe because it is central,
but there always seems to be a good gathering of Europas.

17 July. The Hucknall Air Day. Notts. PPR 01159 755153.
