What are your oil and head temps running at in cruse and climb? I did
almost the same thing with the coolers.

When I was doing taxi testing on N55XS, I was experiencing very high
coolant temps. So I flushed the 50/50 glycol/water mix, lowered the
collant radiator about 1" and installed a rubber seal to the bottom, so
that it would seal to the cowl. I then installed the Evans coolant.
Not only did the boiling go away, but the temps actually dropped, while
still allowing the oil temp to to get up, in cool weather. This is a
much better option, than dropping the oil cooler, in my opinion. At any
rate, I have zero problems with coolant temps...
