Cliff, I ordered new rubber carb sockets and replaced both sides. My
suspicion was the port side leak of fuel between intake manifold and carb,
remember the green gas stain ? There is a rubber o-ring in there to provide
a seal. Anyway the problem is fixed and the leak is gone. I think I could
have fixed it by tighting up the carb socket to manifold bolts as the old
carb sockets did not show signs of any cracking . the new carb sockets are
of a new design and seem much better.
Saturday is Orcas fly in at Eastsound airport I am going over in the
morning for little while. You should go.
