There is a simple solution to these connectors opening up. Wire them up with 
lockwire.

I had the same problem about a year ago (nearly lost control of aircraft on 
landing) but since wrapping lockwire around the pointed ends, they no longer 
open up.

Checking these is now included in my daily inspection though it no longer 
seems necessary.
