Raimo, Rob, Paul, et.al.,

I went through the McMaster-Carr catalog. They have a heavy Duty
Ring-Grip Quick-Release Pin in 1/2" Diameter with double ball
retainment. It has a "T" handle. They are not available in the 3 1/2"
grip length that we require, but they do have them in 4" length. The
specs are:

Stainless Steel, Plain, Precipitation-Hardened Stainless Steel,
Quick-Release Pins, Inch, 1/2" -.005"--.002", 4" grip length +.020",
MIL-P-45952/1, 18,400 lbs.

The cost is $9.41 each.

You'd have to make up a 1/2" sleeve or stack washers to accommodate the
additional length. I don't know if this is acceptable or not.

Andy or Neville? Comments, suggestions, recommendations, can it be
used?

Still waiting on ACS...

Good building & Great Flying,
