 Hi All,
The engines run a bit on the hot side for the first 10 / 15 hours or so, the
temps
will drop between 10 to 15 C after that.
The oil cooler can be dropped to expose half of it to cold air, which also
allows
an easier path for the hot air from the water radiator to exit.
The lower cowl can be ''stood off'' from the fuselage at the bottom, use longer
bolts with spacers, you can get a 3/4'' gap at the cowl lower rear edge, this
will ''rip'' more air through.
Cheers,
Nev.

Hi All
I wonder if any of you flying at high ambient temperatures 30 degrees Celsius +
have any bright ideas about keeping the 914 turbo cool on climb out - 1'm
finding
temperatures creeping up past 120 degrees soon after take off which some
what limits my immediate climb - it returns to 106 - 112 on cruise.Any hints
tips
would be really appreciated!!
