Kingsley,

I did consider a closed trailer but was concerned about the windage and
possible problems I might encounter towing in a strong sidewind.

Have you found this a problem at all?

For those contemplating building or obtaining a trailer, I think this recent
thread highlights just one of  the advantages of a closed in trailer.

As well as providing protection from water ingress, a good closed in trailer
also provides protection from :-

(a) Sun as well as rain
(b) Stone damage from passing vehicles
(c) Dust ingress
(d) More protection in the event of a vehicular accident
(e) Considerable roll over protection
(f) Wind gusts from passing trucks
(g) Hail damage
(h) Better security (if lockable)

In my case, it will also be used as the permanent storage location for the
aircraft.

They also make excellent furniture removal vans!

Just my thoughts
