Gidday,
I was hoping someone who has built there wings could help clarify something
I seem to be stuck on. On page 7-17 regarding the T.E. core preparations is
the following sentence:
" For pressure relief, pierce the walls of the lightening holes of each
core, as you did with the leading edge cores, and make sure that the open
aileron lateral push-rod channel in the spar edge of both No.5 and No.6
cores has a hole leading to the first lightening hole."
I must be missing something because my No. 6 cores are solid i.e. they are
the T.E. Root cores . Another quick question is related to Fig 21 on page
7-18 which shows a dotted line in the closeout and up one flange side.
There is a solid line into the aileron closeout area, which is an extension
of the same line that is depicted from the left side ( on the page)flange
face meeting the flat, wide plugged face of the bellcrank/pushrod tunnel.
What is this line?
Lastly, to stop the wings getting filled with water on the trailer, I have
read several suggestions. Is it possible to vent the entire T.E. outer
portion of the wing with an uphill breather hole through the aileron
bellcrank/aileron pushrod tunnel wall. When I say uphill I mean relative to
when it is on a trailer, so that water entering the wing can only come out
through the aileron pushrod hole,or the wing root end of the aileron
lateral pushrod hole.
Any tips would be appreciated
