There is a discussion going on in rec.aviation.homebuilt on fuel injection,
in particular the reliability of electronic fuel injection vs mechanical
fuel injection.
Does anyone know if the BMW engine uses electronic or mechanical fuel
injection? If electronic, does it have a "limp home" mode if one of
the sensors fails? How long can the battery keep the EFI going if there
is an alternator failure?
These rah discussions give me something to think about while I fiddle with
my tailplane closeouts!
