New Open Cell Foam Materials

Hi,

Curious to know if there are any new open cell foam materials that have 
sound attenuation characteristics.

Currently working on hearing protection products, and searching for new 
materials to be utilized in earmuffs or earplugs.

Can you point me in the right direction for searching the internet.
